Summary:
The next Tarot card in my Tarot Analysis series is my portrayal of Malka as The Empress! Malka is one of the main characters of my @tapas_app graphic novel, "The Book of Joel," which you can read using my link in bio.

The Empress is a very fitting card for her because the Empress symbolizes love, fertility, and abundance in all aspects. She represents the creation of life, romance, art, and creativity itself, all of which match Malka well since Malka is interested in art, likes sketching, and of course, is romantically involved with Joel. Unlike Joel, who thought that any kind of romantic or sexual attachment was pointless before he got closer to Malka, Malka has never thought of romantic feelings as pointless.
While she knows many couples, including her own parents, who are dysfunctional, she believes that it can be a great thing if the people involved are emotionally mature, responsible, and honest with each other (of course, a bit of luck is needed as well).

Hi, everyone! This week, we're going to be taking a look at The Empress.
I chose to represent The Empress as Malka, one of the protagonists of my graphic novel, The Book of Joel. This is because The Empress is a very fitting card for Malka.
The Empress symbolizes love, fertility, and abundance in all aspects as well as the creation of life, art, romance, and creativity, all of which Malka is interested in, unlike Joel, who thought that any kind of romantic or sexual attachment was pointless before he got closer to Malka.
Malka has never thought of romantic feelings as pointless. While she knows many couples, including her own parents, who are dysfunctional, she believes that romance is a great thing if the people involved are emotionally mature, responsible, and honest with each other.
Of course, she believes a bit of good luck as needed as well.
Let's now take a look at the symbolism in this card. The Empress, Malka here, is wearing a crown of 12 stars, showing her connection with the mystic and the cycles of the natural world. Remember that there are 12 months of the year and 12 planets. Her robe is covered with roses, which are symbolic of romance.
She is also sitting on a red seat covered with luxurious velvet. The blue heart-shaped cushion features a symbol of Venus. Venus is the planet of creativity, love, fertility, grace and beauty, which is the essence of Malka as The Empress.
The wheat in the foreground symbolizes abundance and the forest behind her symbolizes the connection with Mother Earth.
Malka looks very happy here and she's looking at this beautiful butterfly that has landed on her hand. She feels at peace and in her element.
See you next week for the next card!
